Roots & Experience
Low Country Swamp Shack is a family-owned and operated food business built on faith, hard work and one big dream. Owner Josh Martin was born in Garland, Texas, raised with family roots in Kingsport, Tennessee, and eventually made his way to Charleston, South Carolina with more than 20 years of food-industry experience.
The Leap
The business started under a tent, serving food from the back of a truck. After traveling to Tennessee to pick up his son, Josh quit his job and committed himself to building the Swamp Shack. Together, the family worked events, built the name and earned customer support one plate at a time.
The Road Today
Today, Low Country Swamp Shack operates with a fully equipped food trailer and box truck, bringing legendary gator, seafood and Lowcountry flavor to communities across South Carolina and beyond.
Catering is available for parties, weddings, tailgates, corporate events and festivals, including unforgettable whole-smoked alligator presentations with live on-site cooking.
